About Rachel

Born in Staffordshire  in 1970 Rachel emigrated with her family to Australia in 1977.
Growing up in Perth in the 70's and 80's she has seen Perth evolve from a fun loving quiet location to a thriving modern city.

She has always felt a connection with nature which became evident when in 2001 she was handed a video camera and began capturing  video that turned into a business "Yesterday Video" which focussed on Weddings, personalized video sequences for couples and corporate  work. By 2004 she shifted to still photography as this allowed her to capture moments and distinct images that only a photographer could see.

"Photography is a personal experience. It is the art of capturing a moment in time that tells a story that fires the imagination"
Some have it and some don't.

Rachel's images do not involve manipulation of the final product unless for a creative art project. Her desire is to present an image in its truest form.
In an age where photo manipulation is at a premium it is refreshing to find images that are pure and stimulating.

Her images have been captured whilst visiting a variety of locations within Australia and overseas. They are diverse and include pictures of her beloved Beanz and Scooty (her cats) to the landscapes of the north and central Australia, U.K and Asia.

We hope you enjoy them.
